Has the Republican Party Gone Down the Tubes?

You remember that hilarious thing, when Trump said he was running for President? Looks like he meant it.

Is this a reflection of the Republican party? Are most republicans this idiotic? Or is there just a minority of republicans who are going to the polls whilst others stay home? It's a tiny percentage of either party that votes in primaries. Still, it's plain there's a sizable number of republicans who like Trump and that's not encouraging.

I think this merely reflects on how a party can't really control it's fate, hard as it might try. That belongs to the people, and if the people err, they will choose their leader accordingly.
